Ford Escort MK1
This is our latest project and as you can see from the pictures, its still got a bit of work to go.
We intend to keep this page updated with the latest stages of the build.
This is not as far away from launch as you may think. It is being worked on everyday and we estimate it will be ready by summer 2010.
It will be very similar in build spec and price to that of the Datsun 240Z. We realise due to the popularity of this model that it will be required in various forms.
The guy/girl with a rotten original shell and looking to transfer all the parts across like for like, will want a shell with all the standard mounting points for the suspension etc.
The motor sport person will in all honesty not be looking to use the leaf springs.
As its an FRP body tub you can't weld it afterwards so a replaceable rear section of the mould will be built to suit all requirements.
